Building New
Mobile Phone Towers

Reliable mobile phone coverage is not just a convenience. It’s an essential part of life, a business tool and a safety measure. That’s why we’re building new mobile phone towers across the state.

What we said we'd do

Establish a $10 million fund to address mobile black spots across South Australia.

What we've done

The Marshall Liberal Government established a $10 million fund to address mobile black spots across South Australia.

This fund enabled us to leverage another almost $30 million in funding from the Federal Government and telecommunications providers and there are now an additional 54 mobile phone towers being delivered across regional South Australia.

With our regions the economic backbone of our state and with more people living in regional South Australia than ever before, access to quality telecommunications is essential.

What it means for you

  • Better quality of life for locals through increased digital connectivity
  • Making it easier for farmers and exporters to run their businesses
  • Increased safety for locals and tourists because, in an emergency, a phone is a necessity

Policy snapshot
