Golden Grove Road
Upgraded

Just like we promised, the Marshall Liberal Government has completed a huge upgrade of Golden Grove Road, delivering a quicker and safer journey for people in the north east.

What we said we'd do

Fix Golden Grove Road and make it safer for motorists and residents.

What we've done

The Marshall Liberal Government has completed a huge upgrade of Golden Grove Road.

Our $50 million upgrade was delivered by a local business and included intersection upgrades, additional lanes, road resurfacing, improved lighting, indented bus bays, bike lanes, footpaths and better pedestrian crossings.

We are also upgrading intersections along the O-Bahn route to create dedicated ‘jump lanes’ for o-bahn buses, allowing faster access from Tea Tree Plaza to Golden Grove.

This was recommended as the best solution in the North East Public Transport Study which also recommended against extending the O-Bahn as it would require the demolition of many homes and trees and would carry a price tag of $250 million.

This project is part of our record $17.9 billion Building What Matters infrastructure program which is creating thousands of jobs and improving the lives of South Australians.

What it means for you

  • Less time in traffic means more time doing the things you love
  • Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are safer
  • More local jobs
