Lower the cost of doing business – including scrapping all payroll tax for small businesses
The Marshall Liberal Government has significantly reduced the cost of doing business by scrapping payroll tax for all small businesses, reducing land tax and making electricity, water and other fees and charges cheaper.
Within our first year, we delivered on our promise to ensure small businesses pay zero payroll tax, ending Labor’s jobs tax for more than 3,200 businesses and giving businesses confidence to grow and create local jobs knowing they won’t be hit with an extra tax for doing so.
Businesses are also saving thousands on land tax every year and thousands more on critical services such as electricity and water.
Under Labor, our businesses were operating under some of the highest cost structures in Australia and, in some instances, the world.
We’ve put an end to this – backing South Australian businesses to create South Australian jobs by significantly reducing the tax and cost burden.
