Intersection Upgraded

As our northern suburbs continue to grow rapidly, we are investing in infrastructure that reduces congestion and creates local jobs.

What we've done

The Marshall Liberal Government is upgrading roads and intersections across the state – including the intersection of Main North, Kings and McIntyre Roads.

As our northern suburbs grow rapidly, this intersection has quickly become one of Adelaide’s busiest with over 81,000 people passing through this location every day.

We have added a right-hand turn lane, widened main north road, added more through lanes and improved access for pedestrian and cyclists.

This project is part of our record $17.9 billion Building What Matters infrastructure program which is creating thousands of jobs and improving the lives of South Australians.

What it means for you

  • Getting you where you want to go quicker and safer
  • Less time in traffic means more time doing the things you love
  • Local jobs are created
