More Rangers for
our Precious Parks

The Marshall Liberal Government has employed 45 more rangers across South Australia because rangers are the frontline workers for our precious environment.

What we said we'd do

Increase the number of park rangers by 20 – a boost of more than 20%

What we've done

The Marshall Liberal Government has employed 45 more rangers across South Australia since coming to government. That’s an increase of almost 50%!

On top of this there are now 111 volunteer rangers and a new ranger district in the south based within SA’s newest national park – Glenthorne National Park.

We invested $7.5 million to make this happen because rangers are the frontline workers for our precious environment.

Increasing the number of park rangers is part of our government’s record investment in national parks, ensuring South Australia’s environment is protected and people are able to enjoy our parks for generations to come.

What it means for you

  • Protecting our precious environment now and in the future
  • Better local spaces for you and your family to enjoy the great outdoors
