The Marshall Liberal Government has opened a new high school in Goolwa as part of our record $1.5 billion investment to build and upgrade schools across the state.
Previously, Goolwa was South Australia’s largest town without a high school and secondary students in the area had to leave town every day for their education. Now these young people have the opportunity to access education in their own local community.
Located at the former Investigator College site, the new Goolwa Secondary College will accommodate approximately 400 local students, with capacity to increase in line with anticipated growth in the area.
This is one of more than 100 school builds and upgrades that are being delivered, providing world-class facilities for our children and thousands of local jobs for South Australians.
