Growing our
Exports

Growing our
Exports

We have opened new trade offices around the world to help South Australian businesses access key international markets, grow and create more local jobs.

What we said we'd do

Open five new trade offices in key markets around the world.

What we've done

To help South Australian businesses export more products and services around the world, the Marshall Liberal Government has established a network of overseas trade offices.

In our first term of government, we have opened offices in:

  • Tokyo
  • Seoul
  • Shanghai
  • Guangzhou
  • New Delhi
  • Singapore
  • New York
  • Houston
  • Dubai
  • San Francisco

We have also announced and budgeted for a new office in Paris.

And we have a dedicated Minister and Department working hand in hand with businesses to grow and create more local jobs by expanding to markets outside of Australia.

Our trade and investment strategy has been hugely successful, driving new trade deals throughout the COVID-19 crisis and seeing merchandise exports reach over $13 billion for the first time ever.

What we'll do

Building on the success of our trade office strategy, a re-elected Marshall Liberal Government will open three new international trade offices in key markets – Germany, India and South East Asia – creating new opportunities and markets for South Australian businesses and local jobs for South Australians.

We will also establish an $18 million Direct Flights Fund to increase visitors into Adelaide and exports out of Adelaide.

What it means for you

  • More export opportunities = business growth
  • Business growth = local jobs
