This new arena will replace the Adelaide Entertaiment Centre and will bring concerts, conventions and professional court sports including basketball, netball and tennis into the heart of our city.
This $662 million project will increase city vibrancy and provide a huge boost to the economy and local jobs.
This is the next piece of the puzzle in the transformation of the Adelaide Riverbank Precinct which already includes the Memorial Drive re-development, Festival Plaza, Adelaide Oval and the new Oval Hotel.
A key component of the plan is an underground tunnel directly linking the arena with the Adelaide Convention Centre, increasing SA's exhibition space by 5,600 square metres.
We are also upgrading grassroots and elite sporting infrastructure right across the state because everyone, at every level, should have the chance to play – and watch – sport at world-class facilities.
