The Marshall Liberal Government is investing close to $3 billion to build new roads in our regions and improve the maintenance of existing ones.
This includes the Penola Northern Bypass which, in combination with the southern bypass, is ensuring freight and heavy vehicles completely bypass the Penola Township. This is improving the amenity of the town while also reducing travel time for motorists and freight, particularly the local timber plantations.
The project included construction of a new road, new junctions, improved lighting and other safety upgrades.
The Penola Northern Bypass is now open to traffic.
After years of Labor neglect, regional South Australians finally have a government that is creating jobs and improving infrastructure and services in the regions.
This project is part of our record $17.9 billion Building What Matters infrastructure program which is creating thousands of jobs and improving the lives of South Australians.
