Practical Action
on Climate Change

We have a detailed plan to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 with real, practical actions that also create jobs.

What we've done

The Marshall Liberal Government is taking practical action to tackle climate change in a win-win for our environment and our economy.

Unlike the former Labor Government who came up with a lot of slogans and targets but very little change, we have wasted no time implementing a detailed plan for how we will reduce South Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50 percent by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050. We are also putting these targets into legislation.

We are building new renewable energy infrastructure, enhancing the ability of our oceans to capture blue carbon and undertaking a significant greening program across our suburbs.

We are ensuring South Australia continues to lead the nation and the world on renewable energy while also creating jobs and making South Australia an even better place to live.

What it means for you

  • Our environment is protected for future generations
