Upgrading
Princes Highway

We are upgrading Princes Highway as part of a $3 billion investment in regional roads.

What we've done

The Marshall Liberal Government is investing close to $3 billion to build new roads in our regions and improve the maintenance of existing ones.

This includes a $250 million upgrade of Princes Highway from the Victorian border to Tailem Bend, improving road safety and traffic flow for regional South Australians, tourists and freight.

We are widening the road, adding new overtaking lanes, duplicating key sections and adding additional safety measures like barriers and tactile line marking.

After years of Labor neglect, regional South Australians finally have a government that is creating jobs and improving infrastructure and services in the regions.

This project is part of our record $17.9 billion Building What Matters infrastructure program which is creating thousands of jobs and improving the lives of South Australians.

What it means for you

  • Getting you home, to work or to your holiday quicker and safer
  • Freight can move more efficiently, boosting regional economies
  • More local jobs
