SA: The Best Place
to do Business

We are creating local jobs by making SA a place where all businesses can thrive.

What we said we'd do

End the former Labor Government’s ‘picking winners’ approach and focus on making South Australia the best place for all businesses to thrive.

What we've done

The Marshall Liberal Government is creating jobs by ensuring South Australia is a place where all businesses can grow – whether they’re a start-up, a small family business or a large international company.

We are reducing taxes, cutting red tape and providing the infrastructure our businesses need. We have also set up three funds to provide direct financial support.

Jobs and Economic Growth Fund: supporting whole industries, i.e. with tourism marketing

Research, Commercialisation and Start-Up Fund: encouraging the establishment of brand-new companies in South Australia by bringing together businesses, researchers and universities

Regional Growth Fund: supporting projects that unlock new economic activity and jobs in our regions

What it means for you

  • Thriving local businesses = local jobs
  • More opportunities for those who want to start or grow a business in South Australia
  • Less people leaving the state to access opportunities elsewhere

Policy snapshot

  • Jobs are being created because businesses want to start, set up and stay in SA.
  • We are reducing taxes, cutting red tape and providing the right infrastructure.
  • We are providing targeted financial support to grow the economy and create jobs.
