The Marshall Liberal Government is investing close to $3 billion to build new roads in our regions and improve the maintenance of existing ones.
This includes upgrading and sealing the Strzelecki Track, with stage one complete and the first 50 kilometres open to traffic.
We are now delivering the $189 million stage two of this project in partnership with the Federal Government. This stage will see the full 472 kilometres of track and the 26 km Adventure Way Road link from Innamincka to the Queensland border fully sealed.
This upgrade is of huge economic and strategic significance, with the Strzelecki Track a vital freight link between South Australia and Queensland and an essential transport corridor for outback communities, tourism and pastoralists.
Labor talked about this project for years but never delivered it.
Now, after Labor's neglect, regional South Australians finally have a government that is creating jobs and improving infrastructure and services in the regions.
This project is part of our record $17.9 billion Building What Matters infrastructure program which is creating thousands of jobs and improving the lives of South Australians.
