The Marshall Liberal Government is upgrading roads and intersections across the state – including the intersection of Grand Junction, Hampstead and Briens Road.
This location is a key freight corridor, with the slow acceleration of heavy vehicles turning right adding to the congestion. Our upgrade addressed this by widening Grand Junction and Hampstead Roads, creating additional right turn lanes and more through lanes.
This $19 million upgrade has been completed - getting the 63,000 people who use this intersection every day where they want to go quicker and safer.
This project is part of our record $17.9 billion Building What Matters infrastructure program which is creating thousands of jobs and improving the lives of South Australians.
